Depression

Feelings of depression can occur at different stages in our lives for a variety of reasons. Feeling depressed may be short term, lasting no more than a few days, as a result of troubling or tragic events in our lives. These short-term feelings of sadness, fatigue, sleeplessness, or loneliness are normal and often pass on their own. Counseling and therapy can prevent these feelings from persisting, and help us to recognize and cope with them before we suffer needlessly. The techniques are simple yet effective. The good news is that with support, we can develop long term and permanent strategies to help you regain happiness and meaning.

Anxiety

Anxiety is normal. It is our body warning us that something needs to change in our lives. Anxiety can lead us to prepare for future events, avoid dangerous situations, or to just be aware of our surroundings. Yet, when anxiety seems to be everywhere, all the time, we now begin to suffer needlessly. Anxiety can be controlled using the techniques shared in counseling. Anxiety can be prevented by taking the time to carefully understand its unique causes and learning to stop it before it starts.

The temporary joys associated with these substances may lead us to consume more, and more often. Once we have begun to depend on drugs and alcohol, the pleasure leaves and the addiction sets in. Finding the motivation to free ourselves is key. Using the support provided by counseling will set the process in motion, and engaging in therapy can help understand our unique reasons for drinking and taking drugs, helping us to avoid future relapse, leading to positive and healthy life.

The causes of trauma can be complicated, yet through counseling they can be brought to the surface in a safe manner, allowing us to begin resolving them and releasing ourselves from the trauma they are causing
